The Clarksville Police Department served an indictment warrant against a suspect accused in a fatal shooting in October of 2019 on College Street in Clarksville.
Following an investigation by police, a Montgomery County Grand Jury returned an indictment for first-degree murder against 22-year old Eric Tyreese Davis in the shooting death of 31-year old Ontario Marbury. He was served with the indictment warrant at the Montgomery County Jail, where he is incarcerated on separate charges.
As previously reported, the shooting occurred just before midnight on October 22, and police say officers were initially responding to a fight in progress in the 900 block of College when it turned into a shooting in progress. They arrived to find Marbury with a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
