Clarksville man arrested in Hopkinsville following traffic stop

A Clarksville man is facing charges of fleeing or evading police and possession following a traffic stop on North Drive Wednesday morning.

According to the Hopkinsville police department, a traffic stop was initiated a vehicle that 48-year old Christophe Foxworth of Clarksville was a vehicle in.  The driver of the vehicle had a warrant out for their arrest, and while that person was being taken into custody Foxworth was allegedly fidgety and exited the vehicle.  When ordered to get back into the vehicle, Foxworth allegedly fled the scene.  A short pursuit ensued, before he was taken into custody in a back yard.

A K9 unit reportedly alerted onto the passenger side of the vehicle and a search allegedly revealed a bag that contained some type of marijuana. Foxworth was charged with fleeing or evading police and possession of synthetic drugs, and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
