A Russellville man was taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville following a single vehicle crash in Logan County Wednesday.
According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 3600 block of Nashville Road for reports that a vehicle had collided with a utility pole. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle—55-year old Eric Armistead of Russellville—had to be assisted from the vehicle and was treated at the scene for apparent injuries. He was then transported to Skyline for treatment.
Investigation determined Armistead’s vehicle had dropped off the left side of the roadway and traveled several hundred feet before striking the utility pole. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
