One day after announcing all coaches and band directors with the Laurel County Public Schools were told they would not be hired back for the next school year, they have all been rehired. The Sentinel-Echo reports the personnel were rehired due to public backlash against the firings. The Laurel County Public Schools announced the firings Tuesday according to the Times Tribune because of the uncertainty of when school athletics would resume.
