CCHD reports 97 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 18 are ‘active’

Christian County gained an additional confirmed case of COVID-19 from Monday to Tuesday.

That’s according to the Christian County Health Department Tuesday update, which puts the total number of confirmed cases at 97.  Of those cases, 18 are ‘active’ and 76 people have recovered from the coronavirus.  Two of those active cases are in the pediatric age group, eight are in the young adult to middle aged group, eight are in the older adult category and there are currently none in the elderly age group.

Christian County has seen three COVID-19 related deaths.

The free testing site at Tie Breaker Park remains open weekdays from 9 until 11 a.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 until 11.  A new site, located on South Clay Street, will be open on Monday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.  Anyone who wants to get tested can at either site.
