A multi-county pursuit of a stolen vehicle Monday evening ended with an arrest near Dawson Springs.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office notified the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department of a pursuit of a stolen car driven by 33-year old Marvin Keith of Georgetown on I-24 East.
Police say Keith headed northbound on Interstate 69 and reached speeds of 120 mph in Caldwell County. With the assistance of the car’s owner, the engine was remotely turned off and the vehicle came to a stop near the Hopkins County line.
Keith abandoned the car and ran, but was located about two hours later and arrested. A 13-year old child was also in the car and investigation determined he had been reported missing in Scott County. The boy was taken to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of an unrelated health issue.
Kentucky State Police and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office charged Keith with multiple counts of wanton endangerment, DUI, receiving a stolen vehicle, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrests and other counts.
