Memorial Tournament has way to keep up with social distancing

Officials with the Memorial Tournament are hoping a high-tech gadget in their badges will help keep track of social distancing. Executive Director Dan Sullivan confirmed over the weekend that badges are encoded with a Radio Identification Frequency Device to track entry and exit points, and they will now be used to help keep patrons safely apart.
Sullivan said the 45th annual tournament will also take other measures, including limiting the number of tickets sold, elimination of the grandstands, prohibiting alcohol sales, curtailing clubhouse activities, and making staff wear face masks. The Memorial is scheduled to take place at Muirfield Village Golf Club from July 16th to the 19th.
