HHS student chosen for Governor’s School for the Arts

A Hopkinsville High School student has been named to the 2020 Ccass of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts.

Jared Chance-Martin is a rising junior at Hopkinsville High School and one of only 256 students out of 1,400 candidates selected to attend the program, according to the local school system.

The three week school begins June 28th and is an opportunity for the scholars to learn and grow in their field of talent from professionals.

Chance-Martin was selected for his play on the euphonium and will be in the instrumental music discipline at GSA.
