American Hockey League cancels remainder of season

The American Hockey League, which serves as the top development league for the NHL, has voted to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and Calder Cup Playoffs due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis. The league said the resumption and completion of the season is not feasible in light of current conditions and statistics as of March 12 are considered final and official. The Nashville Predators have an AHL team in the Milwaukee Admirals.
