Hopkins County had only one new confirmed case of COVID-19 from Monday to Wednesday and officials there are reminding residents to pay attention to their own mental health.
There are now 212 total cases and 24 deaths. At least 124 people have recovered, up by 17 since Monday.
Baptist Health Hospital Clinical Coordinator Brad Long spoke on mental health and urged people to stay socially connected to others while physically distancing.
Judge-Executive Jack Whitfield and Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton encouraged residents to continue with social distancing and good handwashing practices, noting the rate of new cases has dropped in the last couple weeks.
