For the first time in 35 years of operations, the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department’s summer adventure camp has been canceled.
The decision was made due to ongoing and concerns and restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release, which says they intend to bring it back bigger and better than ever in 2021.
Programs Coordinator Pam Rudd says, “During this most difficult time, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation’s No. 1 priority is the health and wellness of our campers, supervisors and others the campers will come into contact with this summer.”
Full refunds will be issued to those who have already paid a deposit.
