The Hopkinsville Art Gallery on Sixth Street will be closing its doors permanently later this month.
Anita Cummins of the Art Guild appeared on WHOP Tuesday morning and says the decision was made due to simple economics and uncertainty about the future.
You look at items in the gallery on Facebook in the time being and shop by appointment and the store will reopen for a final three days beginning May 21.
Cummins says the Art Guild will live on in the community with classes and other events.
She says there could be an Art Gallery again in the future if a location could be found at little to no cost.
