U of L basketball receives NCAA notice of allegations today

The University of Louisville received its notice of allegations from the NCAA today stemming from the FBI’s sweeping investigation into college basketball recruiting in 2017. According to the release, Louisville is facing one Level I allegation — the most serious in nature — along with three Level II allegations. The notice involves the recruitment of Brian Bowen, Jr. in 2017 which in part led to the eventual firings of Rick Pitino as coach and Tom Jurich as athletics director. Louisville has 90 days to respond to the allegations notice.
