Man injured in Eagle Way Bypass accident

One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on the Eagle Way Bypass Saturday afternoon.

It happened about 5 p.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 24-year old Jalonte Daniels of Hopkinsville was westbound in the right lane near the Pennyrile Parkway interchange when he veered into the left lane in an attempt to make a u-turn.

His car collided with a vehicle in the left lane driven by 21-year old Jack Scyphers of Cadiz and Daniels’ car spun and hit a westbound automobile operated by 50-year old Florine Wilford of Cadiz.

Daniels was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Two male passengers in his vehicle and a female passenger in Scyphers’ car left the scene prior to police arrival.
