The Christian County High School FFA is receiving the Gold Emblem Award, which is typically presented at the Kentucky State FFA convention.
Christian County Public Schools Spokesperson John Rittenhouse sent out a news release that clarifies that FFA chapters are honored for their outstanding accomplishments in their program of activities, during the 2019-2020 school year. Only Gold, Silver, and Bronze Emblem chapters receive a plaque sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
CCHS Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor Olivia Clark says, “FFA Chapters are given a rating based upon a form turned into the Kentucky FFA Association. The form shows the activities that a chapter has participated in over the year and are awarded points based upon those activities. The Christian County FFA earned 490 points to earn a Gold Rating.”
