The Todd County School System has announced its plans to honor the class of 2020.
Todd County Central High School Principal Deatrik Kinney and Acting Superintendent Camille Dillingham issued a statement Wednesday outlining the plans. A senior parade is taking the place of the traditional senior walk will take place Friday, May 15.
Seniors wearing their caps and gowns can drive or have a parent drive them with a police escort to North Todd Elementary School, Todd County Middle School, and South Todd Elementary before concluding at the high school.
A virtual baccalaureate hosted by the Laity and Ministers Alliance of Todd County will be recorded May 10 and released online around May 17.
A drive-thru graduation is set for Friday, May 22, when small groups of seniors will be recognized at scheduled times. Only one senior will be allowed per vehicle and parents will drive up to a staging area to see their senior walk across the stage and recognized as a graduate.
There will be an opportunity to take a photo and then the graduate will return to their vehicle to leave campus.
Project graduation has been canceled and organizers are determining the best way to use the money raised to benefit all members of the class of 2020.
