Todd County has gained another confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the county’s total to 13 cases.
That’s according to an update from the Todd County Health Department, which says there are four active cases and nine individuals have recovered from the virus. The new positive case is a healthy adult that is not connected to existing cases—the patient is an out of county essential worker and is thought to have contracted the virus at work.
They are isolating at home and have moderate symptoms—direct contacts have already been notified and advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
Todd County Health Director Jen Harris says, “As workplaces begin to re-open, it is important to remember what precautions you should take. Those include good hygiene and hand washing, wiping down high touch surfaces, wiping down telephones and keyboards and wearing a cloth mask.”
