Zook’s Produce of Herndon, Christian Way Farm and Mini-Golf and the Country Barn in Fairview are three of the 103 markets across the Commonwealth accepted into the 2020 Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Roadside Farm Market Program.
A news release says the facilities have committed to offering quality products and service to their customers. Acceptance by Farm Bureau is to inform customers that this market meets the highest standards of quality, freshness, and marketing appeal.
Zook’s Produce sells a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables along with home-baked goods, honey, jams, and jellies from June through September at their market at the intersection of KY 107 and KY 117 in Herndon. Christian Way Farm sells food, toys and unique gifts while also offering a petting zoo, mini-golf, playgrounds and multiple family activities.
The Country Barn on Britmart Road is probably best known for its selections of flowers, but also sells locally grown fruits and vegetables.
