Two people were injured in a hit and run collision Saturday night at East Ninth and Belmont Street.
It happened about 8 p.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 19-year old Janasia Kates of Hopkinsville was making a right turn onto Belmont from East Ninth when she was rear-ended by a white Mitsubishi Mirage.
The driver of the Mitsubishi got out and checked on Kates and her passenger and then fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Kates and her passenger, 19-year old Jacquez Redd of Hopkinsville, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
