‘Skimmers’ located at gas station in Princeton, police investigating

The Princeton Police Department is investigating after ‘skimmers’ were found attached to gas pumps at a gas station on South Jefferson Street Thursday.

According to a news release, officers responded to the Circle K for reports of suspicious devices and discovered credit card skimmers on all the pumps. It is unknown how long the skimmers have been on the stations and the investigation is ongoing.

Princeton police are warning the public to always be wary for these type of fraudulent devices if anyone has purchased fuel from that location with a card, they need to monitor their accounts for fraudulent activity. The skimmers have been removed and surrounding gas stations have been checked.  Officers have not found any skimmers at other locations.
