The Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control approved a recommendation today from Commissioner Julian Tackett that the Girls and Boys Sweet 16 basketball tournaments will not resume and all spring sports will be cancelled. The KHSAA dead period which had been in place since March is also continued. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of the announcement yesterday by Governor Beshear that schools in Kentucky will close for the rest of the school year.
