Summer collegiate baseball teams pulling out of leagues due to Covid-19

Collegiate Baseball reports only the Golden State League in California and the Valley Baseball League in northern Virginia are the only two summer collegiate baseball leagues to cancel their 2020 seasons. The Ohio Valley League-which includes the Hoptown Hoppers-are expected to make a decision on this season in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Baseball League say they will not play this season due to Covid-19 according to Collegiate Baseball nor will the Genesee Rapids and the Hornell Dodgers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. Genesee and Hornell say they will return for the 2021 season according to a NYCBL news release.
