William Byron won his second consecutive NASCAR e-Racing event, this time at the virtual Richmond Speedway. Byron held off Timmy Hill, the driver who beat him out in an earlier race, to secure the win.

NASCAR announced the postponement of the Martinsville race May 8-9 over the weekend. However, NASCAR said in a statement that it intends to carry out all 36 events at some point, potentially returning without fans sometime next month.

Meanwhile, five North Carolina Republican senators are asking Governor Roy Cooper to allow NASCAR to race at Charlotte Motor Speedway without fans. The May 16th All-Star race and May 24th Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte are the next scheduled Cup races. North Carolina is under a stay-at-home order until April 29th.
