Free drive-thru testing for COVID-19 got underway Monday morning at Tie Breaker Park in Hopkinsville and it will continue each weekday for as long as needed.
Amanda Sweeney of the Christian County Health Department appeared on WHOP Monday and says the testing from 9 until 11 a.m. is meant for first responders, health care workers and anyone exhibiting symptoms.
She says they have 70 tests per day to administer and there’s no timetable for how long the testing will last.
It’s important for anyone being tested to quarantine until the results are returned.
Christian County is the first health department in the state to administer drive-thru COVID-19 testing.
