A man was arrested following a hit and run collision Wednesday afternoon in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department investigated and says it happened about 1:10 p.m. at the Eddyville Mall on Outlet Avenue. A vehicle driven by 48-year old Leigh Brown of Princeton was struck by a car operated by 21-year old Diego Lopez Diego of Eddyville, causing their automobiles to be adjoined together.
Diego asked Brown to back up to separate the vehicles and he allegedly fled the scene after she complied.
Sheriff Brent White located the vehicle and later found Diego, arresting him for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of an open alcohol container and driving without a license or insurance.
