Local legislator wants to hear plan for gradual, safe reopening of Kentucky

State Senator Whitney Westerfield of Christian County wants to hear specifics from Governor Andy Beshear on how Kentucky can gradually reopen commerce and resume some elective medical procedures.

The Republican lawmaker says he’d like to see a pin-pointed approach to begin the process reopening some commerce.

Senator Westerfield fears other effects of the prolonged closure if Kentucky doesn’t have a plan to begin reopening some aspects of the economy.

Representative Walker Thomas notes these last three months of the fiscal year in Kentucky will offset good revenue numbers from the first nine months.
