A trial date was set Wednesday morning for the woman accused in the 2019 shooting death of Amareya’ Freeman.
Twenty-year old Anshanique Leavell appeared before Judge John Atkins via video conferencing and her trial was set for September 21.
Leavell is accused of shooting Freeman in the chest at an apartment on Greenville Road on June 6 of last year and is charged with murder, receiving stolen property and complicity to tampering with physical evidence.
She remains in the Christian County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
