ESPN and NFL Network are teaming up for next week’s draft. They will produce a telecast that is shared by both networks over all three days. It will originate from ESPN with limited in-studio personnel April 23-25. Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce picks from his home.
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is signing a four-year, 64-million-dollar extension to make him the NFL’s highest paid at the position. A one-thousand yard rusher in back-to-back seasons, the 2019 All-Pro also caught 116 passes and scored 19 total touchdowns last season. At only 23 years old, McCaffrey appears to be the new face of the Panthers as the team transitions from former MVP quarterback Cam Newton.
