Police looking for Marshall Co. man who allegedly robbed, assaulted mother

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a man who allegedly assaulted and robbed his mother over the weekend.

Police say Matthew Clay Moss of Draffenville broke into his mother’s vehicle and stole money Saturday morning. When confronted, he allegedly forced his mother into a vehicle and drove her to several ATM’s to get cash.

He allegedly injured his mother during a second physical struggle and police say his seven-year old child was left behind alone during the events.

Moss gathered belongings and left after returning to the home and his mother immediately called 911.

Deputies say Moss may be in Marshall or McCracken County and he also has ties to Lexington and Elizabethtown.

He is sought on charges of second-degree robbery and assault, kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Police say his child is physically unharmed.

Anyone knowing Moss’ whereabouts should call 270-521-1333.
