In a video conference, Rhule said moving forward with former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is the best thing for the team. Rhule acknowledged Newton’s accomplishments in his first comment since the quarterback was released. He also said it had less to do with Newton’s health and more to do with Bridgewater being a better fit overall.
