The Christian County Justice Center is closed until 8 a.m. Monday after employees in the building were potentially directly exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
Circuit Judge John Atkins says the Administrative Office of the Courts ordered the justice center to be closed after officials learned multiple deputy court clerks may have been exposed to a person with the virus. Judge Atkins says he can confirm the person who tested positive does not work at the justice center.
The closure will reduce the risk to employees and other court personnel and to anyone from the public who may come to the justice center.
A contracted crew will be called in to thoroughly clean the building over the weekend.
