A man was arrested for robbery and other charges following an incident Tuesday morning at 10th and Clay Street in Hopkinsville.
An arrest citation for 30-year old James Chambers of Hopkinsville alleges he tried to rob a victim by telling the man to give him his money while holding a brick. When the man tried to leave, Chambers allegedly punched him in the arm and threw a brick at his car, causing damage.
Hopkinsville police located Chambers near the East Fourth Street Copper Still and he reportedly struggled with the officer taking him into custody.
Chambers is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and public intoxication (excludes alcohol).
