The Courier Journal reports Kentucky Coach John Calipari is beginning a campaign to see former Wildcats Coach Joe B. Hall placed in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The 91-year-old Hall is the only coach not in the Hall who won more than 70% of his games.
Hall’s Wildcat teams reached three Final Fours in his 13 seasons at Kentucky, winning the NCAA title in 1978 and compiling an overall record of 297-100. He earned induction in the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
