Hopkinsville police are investigating after a woman was stabbed in an incident early Sunday morning on Lindsey Drive.
It happened at a home in the 2800 block of Lindsey and the victim—29-year old Shanevia Williams of Hopkinsville—was taken first to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then transferred to a Nashville hospital.
The police report says Williams was stabbed with a knife and that she was rendered unconscious by the assault.
No arrest has been made and the incident is being investigated as first-degree assault.
