Alabama head coach Nick Saban is proposing a period of non-contact practices with players ahead of fall camp in August, should it go on as planned. Historically, teams are not allowed to work with players in the summertime, but Saban believes this is an exceptional circumstance.
Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach apologized on social media for posting a tweet that drew criticism before it was deleted. The outspoken coach on Wednesday night posted a tweet that showed a meme of a woman knitting her husband a noose during self-quarantine. Several MSU players responded to the post with face-palm and raised-eyebrow emojis and a profane acronym. In issuing his apology, Leach tweeted. “I had no intention of offending anyone.”
