Kentucky women’s basketball’s Rhyne Howard received another national award Wednesday. The sophomore was named as a First Team All American by the John R. Wooden Award. It’s the third All American honor for Howard, who is also a finalist for the Naismith Award for women’s basketball. The Cleveland, TN native was also named Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, All SEC First Team and to the SEC All Defensive Team.
Howard was also named Honorable Mention for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All America team announced today. Meanwhile, Louisville’s Dana Evans was named to the WBCA’s All American Team.
