The Chicago White Sox announced the death of former major league pitcher and broadcaster Ed Farmer last night in Los Angeles at age 70. Farmer had worked on the White Sox broadcasts for almost 30 years following an 11 year major league career which included time with the White Sox. He was plagued most of his life with polycystic kidney disease.
