A resident of a Lyon County nursing home has been hospitalized with COVID-19.
Lyon County Judge-Executive Wade White says the 97-year old female resident of River’s Bend nursing home was taken by EMS to a local hospital, and then transferred to another facility in Tennessee.
He says health officials are investigating all potential contacts and added that a few induvials have self-quarantined out of an abundance of caution. The EMS crew that transported the patient was wearing appropriate gear and won’t be required to quarantine.
The woman is Lyon County’s second patient.
