The New York Post reports Major League Baseball could play games once it returns from the pandemic without fans. Two executives tell the Post this is becoming increasingly possible. It’s also been discussed that teams will play doubleheaders and extend the season into October.
Major League Baseball announced today it has extended the league wide initiative for minor leaguers through May 31st or the start of the minor league season, whichever comes first. According to a news release, MLB is doing this to continue assistance to players and their families due to the unexpected postponement of the start of the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
