State House, Senate approve COVID relief legislation

The Kentucky House and Senate approved legislation last week providing relief to individuals and small businesses suffering the effects of shutdowns caused by COVID-19 concerns.

Senator Whitney Westerfield says it will expand the scope of unemployment benefits as so many are without an income.

Representative Myron Dossett says it will temporarily remove some administrative headaches for small businesses.

Representative Walker Thomas is also pleased with the provisions for individuals and businesses in House Bill 150.

The legislation is now awaiting the signature of Governor Andy Beshear.
