KHSAA Commissioner Tackett still holds out hope for Sweet 16

KHSAA commissioner Julian Tackett still holds out hope the Boys and Girls Sweet 16 basketball tournaments will be played. In an interview with Stanford radio station WBPK on Thursday, Tackett said he wouldn’t be “optimistic” at this point about playing but says “there still might” be an opportunity. Tackett added coaches have had interesting “perspectives” on whether to play the tournament. He also stated the KHSAA is taking a guarded response on whether the Sweet 16 or spring sports will take place. Schools in Kentucky are closed through at least April 20th.
