Strange says US Open will likely not be played

During an interview with Sirius XM/PGA Tour Radio today, Fox Sports commentator and two time US Open champion Curtis Strange said he didn’t think the US Open would get played in June due to the coronavirus outbreak. The event is scheduled to be played at Winged Foot Golf Club outside of New York City, which is one of the epicenters of the Covid-19 outbreak.

He added he thought it would be “pretty cool” if the Masters were to be played this fall as it’s been rumored. The Masters-scheduled for next month-was postponed recently.
