Golf writer Geoff Shackelford says for the good of humanity it “should stand down” during the coronavirus pandemic. Shackelford says on his blog while golf has generally complied with rules since the Covid-19 outbreak began except for allowing rental of carts or allowing multiple riders, the game must come to a halt until the coronavirus dissipates. He also feels professional golf will likely be the first major sport to resume, possibly without spectators initially.
