Over 200 personnel from Fort Campbell’s 531st Hospital Center are deploying to New York to assist with the response to COVID-19.
The 531st is prepared to provide medical support and hospital capabilities, according to a news release from post officials.
This response is part of the national approach to fighting COVID-19. Officials say the Army is working with interagency partners including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Defense Military Health System and others to support and protect the military force and the American people.
