Fort Campbell has first COVID-19 case

Fort Campbell has reported the first positive COVID-19 test on post.

A dependent of a military retiree at Fort Campbell has tested positive for coronavirus, marking the first confirmed case for the virus at the installation, according to a news release.

The individual is currently isolated at home, outside of Fort Campbell.

Fort Campbell officials and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital has begun conducting contact tracing to determine whether any others may have been exposed and they will notify any direct contacts.

No other information on the patient was released.
