CCHD reports two more “presumptive positive” cases of COVID-19

The Christian County Health Department reports two additional “presumptive positive” cases of COVID-19 in Christian County.

According to a news release, a local physician informed health officials of two presumptive positive cases.

Presumptive positive means the lab who conducted the test has not yet been verified by the state. The first case is a 37-year old female and the second case is a 75-year old female and the two cases are not related.  Both patients are reportedly experiencing mild symptoms and are self-isolating at home.

CCHD has been in contact with these individuals and has started the epidemiological investigation to identify direct contacts, which is a person who has been within six feet of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 for 20 to 30 minutes.

That makes five cases in Christian County, including three previous cases of a 61-year old female, a 24-year old male and a 21-year old female.
