Four arrested for drug trafficking in Hopkins County

Four people were arrested on methamphetamine trafficking charges following a traffic stop by state police over the weekend in Hopkins County.

A state trooper stopped a vehicle driven by 25-year old George Martin of White Plains for speeding and careless driving on Anton Road east of Madisonville.

Further investigation determined that Martin and his passengers—36-year-old Billy Irvin, of Dawson Springs, 24-year-old Levi Alfred, of Madisonville, and 27-year-old Lisa Albin, of Crofton—were allegedly trafficking meth and marijuana.

All four suspects were arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Martin was additionally charged with DUI, possession of an open alcohol container, promoting contraband, speeding and careless driving.
