Hopkinsville man charged with second-degree robbery

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Hopkinsville man is charged with second-degree robbery after he allegedly choked a woman and took pills from her.

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, officers responded to the 300 block of Copperfield Drive for reports of a disturbance.  Investigation determined that 49-year old Darrell Reese of Hopkinsville had allegedly choked a female victim and bruised her arm before taking pills from her person.

Reese was located later that day at a Bassett Street location and a pill bottle with the victim’s name on it was located on the property.  Reese allegedly admitted that he took the pills from the Copperfield Drive residence and that he had hidden other pills elsewhere, which were located.

He was charged with second-degree robbery, tampering with physical evidence and intimidating a participant in the legal process.
