Tennessee motorcycle pursuit leads to arrest in Guthrie

A pursuit of a motorcycle in Montgomery County Saturday night led to the arrest of a Clarksville man in Guthrie on multiple charges.

Montgomery County law enforcement notified police in Todd County that they had terminated the pursuit and gave a description to locate 39-year old Tory Wardwell of Clarksville. Guthrie Police Officer Brock Sawyer located Wardwell and took him into custody and Montgomery County deputies were able to identify him as their suspect.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy David Hutcheson arrested Wardwell and an arrest citation says a pipe with methamphetamine residue was located in Wardwell’s pocket. A search at the jail allegedly revealed heroin.

Wardwell was charged with possession of meth, heroin and drug paraphernalia in Todd County and he’s facing additional charges in Tennessee. The Guthrie Police Department located the stolen motorcycle Wardwell had been riding Sunday morning in a wooded area.
