There have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Todd County, but the local health department remains busy monitoring residents who are sick and working with partner agencies to help the public stay healthy as possible.
Todd County Public Health Director Jen Harris says they have instituted a program where they make contact with sick residents twice a day to determine if treatment outside of the home is needed.
She believes most residents and organizations have tried to follow guidelines for social distancing and avoiding the congregation of crowds as much as possible, but she’s had to give additional encouragement and guidance to others at times over the last few days.
Multiple agencies and local governments are working together and Harris says they are also encouraging residents to still support local restaurants through their drive-thru and takeout options.
